Well rather a long sit I suppose. I went to visit some old friends down Guelph way, and half way there the 401 came to a screeching halt. Two and a half hours parked between Ingersol and Woodstock before the police let people get turned around, and drive the wrong way down the highway. Then of course more sitting around, as all the traffic was congested at the next exit....going backwards of course. Apparently there was a collision involving trucks which ended up in flames that caused the closing.
So a totally waste day eh? Not! It just meant that I sent 5 hours with my friend Richard who was travelling with me. Also known affectionately as Dr Dick, Rich is one of the worlds great men. I'm proud to be called his friend.
And fortunately I had yesterdays videos available for todays post and I think I can actually get them to upload. I say videos plural. because at the last minute I decided to add an addendum.
Enjoy!

Anyone who knows you will appreciate you being real, whether that's hearing about your tough moments or your joyous ones. I think the only real danger is in not sharing those thoughts, and giving them the power to become bigger than reality. I love hearing from you, no matter what form it takes.
ReplyDeleteI so agree Elly. I want to hear your internal dialogue too. We all have it! Doesn't mean your weak, or always down, just means you are human. This is what a blog is for is to share your external and internal thoughts to put them out there to the universe. It's therapeutic most of all for Pete, but you never know it will impact someone else!
DeleteAmen to that sis. I value all opinions and totally agree with your thoughts. There is nothing wrong with showing ones vulnerability to the daily struggles we all go through in some way shape or form. The universe cannot respond if it's not put out there.
DeletePete: I can say positively your blogs touch what has been and what is yet to come I am sure. The voices in ones head just don't stop at times. It's work to make them stop or calm them. I Get It and envy your process. I wish I could put it out there as you do. If I did I would have a book series. Lol..keep on keeping on. Oh and btw love traveling with you on your bike.
I too believe that it is almost impossible to share too much! Honesty, especially with your offspring is the only way they will truly know who you are, and you are doing them a disservice with anything but.
ReplyDeleteAs to your addendum video, two points. First, I really loved the route. For a second, was reminded of the mountain section of Mont Tremblant. Second, no matter how much I wish I was, I am not the author of that quote. I will admit using it regularly, and I think I am pretty sure I have told you of the original speaker, but with your age, I guess you have forgotten. The original quote was spoken by a young neighbour of ours from when we lived at Springwater Lakes. It was first day of fishing season, so lots of people were out, including him and his girlfriend. She was complaining about getting the worm on the hook, and that was his response. I just thought I should clear that up, after laughing my ass off!
Love holij
I agree with everyone, again. I still need quiet time with the videos in order to make an intelligent comment. If anything I ever say is intelligent.
